“How To Stay Motivated”

Why are some people motivated more than others? Why is there always someone in your life, be it a family member, friend, or colleague, who stays fit and is always in great shape? Motivation is defined as – “the reason or reasons one has for acting, or behaving in a particular way.”

What are your reasons? What is your why? Of course, it feels great to wear that new swimsuit for the summer, and look good in it. Sure, it’s nice to be able to see your abs. But, these reasons shouldn’t be your main source of motivation.

For me, I want my body and mind to be prepared for anything life throws my way.I am at my best when I exercise consistently, eat well, and sleep good. I am a better husband. I am 10x more productive at work. I have tons more energy, and I find myself making less excuses. There is a reason why CEOs of major companies all workout first thing in the morning. Tim Cook, The CEO of Apple, is famously known for waking up at 4:00am to get his daily exercise.

Our gym is full of people that are motivated by similar reasons. They train hard to avoid being put on blood pressure medicine. They eat well to prevent diabetes. They want to be good role models for their children.

When someone new walks into our doors, I can usually tell if they are serious about changing their life or not. Unlike many gyms, we offer a No Sweat Intro for people that serious about changing their life, and want to learn more about our gym. It also allows us to see if they are a right fit. If they know their “why”, they are going to be successful. We can help you reach your goals, but you need to search deep within yourself to find the reasons to be motivated.

I want to work with people that get after it and don’t make excuses. People that know their “why” and always put it at the forefront of their training. Do you know your “why”? If so, what is it?
