Caitlin Morrison: 2 year CCF veteran — A Celebration CrossFit Athlete Feature

Meet Caitlin — A 2 year veteran at Celebration CrossFit that consistently accomplishes goals and sets new ones. Caitlin always arrives at the Box with a smile on her face ready to work HARD! Caitlin recently accomplished tackling a few strict unassisted pull-ups… which is no easy feat.  With the 2018 CCF Intramural Open upon us in February, we cannot WAIT to see the progress that she has made over past year shine through her performance each week in every workout. Keep pushing hard Caitlin, we are with you every step of the way!

Caitlin recently gave us a few details about her time thus far at CCF, and she has some pretty cool things to say. Check it out below:

What brought you to Celebration CrossFit in the first place?

“I have always enjoyed working out and I had briefly tried CrossFit a few years prior to moving to Celebration, but didn’t stick with it. A close friend of mine, Julia, a die-hard CrossFitter in Colorado was absolutely convinced if I gave it another go, I would end up loving it. So, I looked up the closest Box to me and found Celebration CrossFit. Low and behold Julia was right, I loved it!”

What was your first Impression? How has that changed?

“I was nervous and a little intimidated. I remember having butterflies watching the class before me do an overhead movement and burpees and I thought there was no way I was going to be able to do that. However, now I feel like I fit right in and would say most overhead movements are my favorite!”

What was your first bright spot or win?

“My first bright spot was the day I broke 100# doing a Snatch, I struggled with that for what seemed like FOREVER.”

What are you working on now?

“Pull ups! I recently got a couple of Strict Pull Ups for the first time since I was a kid. I also want to be more consistent with Double Unders as they seem to be hit or miss for me.”

What is your favorite memory At Celebration CrossFit?

“Hands down the 2017 Open last spring. It was so motivating! It was fun getting to spend time with everyone, people who I don’t normally see because we go to different class times.”
